Homeschool Softball World Series Association (HSWSA)

1. What is the Homeschool Softball World Series?

The Homeschool Softball World Series (HSWS) is a national-level tournament bringing together homeschool softball teams from across the country. The event provides a competitive, high-visibility platform for high school athletes, college recruiting opportunities, and a celebration of homeschool sports excellence.

2. Who can participate?

Participation is open to homeschool-based softball teams that meet our eligibility guidelines:

• At least 80% of the roster must be homeschool students.

• Private school students may join if their school does not offer a softball program (approval required).

• Teams must submit rosters and eligibility documents upon registration.
  
  

3. How many divisions are there?

The tournament is split into three divisions:

• Division I: Competitive, nationally-ranked homeschool teams.

• Division II: Intermediate-level programs seeking strong competition.

• Division III (Emerging Programs Tier): New and developmental teams gaining experience at the national level.
  
  

4. How many games will my team play?

Each team is guaranteed 5–6 games, including pool play and bracket games. Division III teams are guaranteed 3+ games, with additional opportunities for consolation or placement games.

• Dates: May 20–23, 2026

• Location: Walnut Creek Softball Complex, Raleigh, NC
  
  

6. How do I register my team?

Registration opens August 1, 2025.

• Teams can register online through our official website.

• A deposit is required to secure your spot (refundable until December 31, 2025).

• Only the first 32 teams to register will be guaranteed entry for the 2026 event.
  
  

7. Are there awards and recognitions?

Yes! The tournament includes:

• Division Champion and Runner-Up trophies

• All-Tournament Team medals

• MVP and Outstanding Player awards

• Special recognition for Division III teams and standout performances.
  
  

8. Are college scouts attending?

We partner with collegiate scouting organizations and invite college coaches to attend. Player profiles and highlight reels can be submitted for added exposure.

9. What are the rules of play?

• Pool Games: 7 innings or 2-hour max.

• Bracket Games: 7 innings, with extra innings if required.

• Consolation Games: Optional for teams eliminated in brackets.
  A full rules and eligibility packet will be available upon registration.
  
  

10. Can families and fans attend?

Absolutely! We encourage families and supporters to attend. Admission is free, and there will be concessions, merchandise, and activities throughout the week.

11. Are there lodging options?

Yes. We work with local hotels and lodging partners to offer discounted team rates. Details will be sent after registration.
